Where did this idea come forth?
My kids, like any other digital-aged kids, wear and use electronic gadgets daily – AirPods, smartwatches and smartphones – they are always cleaned with alcohol wipes.
My first thought was that high-tech hygiene should be done in a smarter, faster and safer way.
And I hate the thought of extra chemicals they are exposed to. So this is how the CleanPhone Trio stemmed from.
What problem do CleanPhone Trio fix?
Each day, you wear your smartwatch and sweat on it. Your AirPods are inserted into a warm and maybe wet ear which harbors bacteria. Phone, you bring it everywhere and place it in many different environments that collect and thrive the growth of bacteria and germs. In order to kill bacteria and germs, you normally use alcohol wipes. However, not only is this a time-consuming process, but it also results in drainage of money to buy wipes (a.k.a. chemicals). Chemical wipes can be both harmful to you and to the environment besides potentially shortening the lifespan of your gadgets.

With UVC CleanPhone Trio, you only need to place all three electronic gadgets inside this disinfection tool and tab the disinfection button to activate the process. How does UVC CleanPhone Trio work?
UV light comes in three different wavelengths – UVA, UVB and UVC. Only UVC light is germicidal as it breaks down the DNA of living organisms and prevents a cell from dividing.
In order to protect the safety of any user, UVC disinfection mode can only be activated when the lid is detected in closed position. As soon as the lid is open when disinfection process is still ongoing, UVC light is cut off automatically, ensuring user is not exposed to UVC light at all time.
Our device is sealed off so no light can escape. It’s just a matter of closing the lid and the device does its job.
No extra training is needed.

How are you feeling about revealing UVC light disinfection, here in Australia?
For Australians, disinfecting electronic gadgets, especially cell phones is a tricky one. Either they want to do it, or they just can’t be bothered. So, the greatest challenge I have is to create awareness on how unhealthy our gadgets are and at the same time presenting the effectiveness of UVC light disinfection in helping everyone having the access to disinfect safely and do no harms to our environment. It is a long journey ahead and I know I have to be patient in delivering the message.
